🎻 Please join us in welcoming Sidney Lofthouse to the violin section of the Fort Collins Symphony!

Sidney began playing violin at age 5 and has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician throughout the U.S. and abroad. Her training has taken her from Utah State University and the University of Utah to her current doctoral studies in violin performance at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she is a full scholarship recipient and teaching assistant.

Along the way, Sidney has performed at festivals in the U.S., Canada, Germany, and Italy, served as concertmaster and section leader of the Utah State Symphony Orchestra, and won several concerto competitions.

Sidney is also a dedicated teacher, with 10 years of private violin teaching experience and 5 years of viola teaching experience.

We’re excited to have Sidney joining us this season and look forward to having her onstage with the Fort Collins Symphony!

Meet the new intern Lilly!

Hi, I am so excited to be working with the Fort Collins Symphony! I love performing and sharing music here in Fort Collins. I am a 4th year Music Composition and Music Business student at CSU. Although I love playing cello and singing, I enjoy all the behind the scenes of your favorite concerts. Music is so important to me and I can not wait for this new season!

Step inside the world of the bassoon in this unique and engaging chamber concert featuring the Fort Collins Symphony bassoon section on September 20th, 2pm, at the Plymouth Congregational Church! 🎶 Audiences will experience the rich, expressive sounds of both the bassoon and contrabassoon up close while exploring more than five centuries of music, from Renaissance melodies and Baroque dances to Classical elegance, Romantic charm, contemporary works, and even a touch of movie magic.

Always been curious about the classics, but never known quite where to start? Join FoCoMA - Fort Collins Musicians Association and the Fort Collins Symphony at The Lincoln Center for a special kickoff mixer where contemporary meets classical. We’ll be celebrating the power of live music and kicking off their season opening concert, “Music: The Purest Art”.

DJ TwoScoops will riff on the classics with this one-of-a-kind set featuring Amy M Duarte of Post Paradise bringing surprising and ethereal live cello to the mix. Come out for this unique musical performance! Cash bar and snacks provided.

RSVP to attend and you’ll automatically be entered to win either two FoCoMX tickets or two tickets to the Fort Collins Symphony Pops performance of Frankenstein: Live in Concert. (Must be present to win)

We’ll be getting a little eXperimental, so come as you are. The mixer is FREE, ALL AGES, and open to everyone. No concert ticket or dress code required.
