Our goal is to enrich the cultural life of the region and, in so doing, add to the common experience that bonds us all to our community and the world around us. We explore various cultures and common values in the hope of strengthening an appreciation for diversity and promoting a sense of community on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. The Theatre provides a venue in which writers, directors, actors, designers, poets, and visual artists can practice and improve their craft as well as experiment and develop new creative works.

The magic of theatre happens long before the curtain rises!

Dancing at Lughnasa is coming to Bas Bleu November 13 – December 6. Set in 1936 rural Ireland Brian Friel’s beautiful and moving play follows five unmarried sisters navigating family, faith, love, and change during one unforgettable summer. Told through the memories of a child looking back...the story captures the joy, heartache, and quiet magic of life’s fleeting moments

After 31 years of touring throughout the U.S. and Ireland, Four Shillings Short — Aodh Og O’Tuama and Christy Martin are on their Farewell Tour and have already brought incredible concerts across California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho, and they’re continuing their journey through the Rockies and Southwest this fall and winter

Bringing more than 30 instruments to stages along the way 4SS have shared a unique blend of Celtic, Medieval & Renaissance, Indian, and American music. It’s more than a concert... It’s music, storytelling, history, humor and a celebration of cultures from around the world

Come share an evening with Aodh Og & Christy as they make their way through the final years of this remarkable touring journey. Following the concert will be a reception where Chef Harry Damm will share his creations of yummy Irish food and Guinness with the attendees!

Join Four Shillings Short for their Farewell Tour at Bas Bleu Theatre on Sunday, October 18th 7-9PM! After decades on the road, Aodh Og & Christy are making their way through some of their favorite towns and venues one last time before retiring to Ireland in 2029.

This husband-and-wife duo has spent 31 years touring, performing and sharing music from around the world. Their show weaves together traditional Irish and Celtic music, Medieval & Renaissance sounds, Indian ragas, American folk traditions, original songs, fascinating instruments and plenty of storytelling

Expect an evening featuring sitar, hammered dulcimer, mandolin, tin whistles, banjo, guitar, charango, percussion, vocals and many more. 4SS travels with more than 30 instruments that are part of their musical world!

AFTER-SHOW CELEBRATION!! Chef Harry Damm will prepare delicious Irish treats and Guinness for a reception following the concert

Each piece hanging in Gallery Bleu is available for purchase, with 100% of the proceeds going to Support Bas Bleu Theatre

Join us at Bas Bleu Theatre on October 2nd from 5–7 PM with live music, drinks, and snacks as we celebrate the unveiling of the new Poudre River Mural created by Fort Collins artist Chelsea Gilmore in partnership with the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed!

This mural is more than a beautiful new piece of public art, it’s a celebration of our connection to the Poudre River and the role it plays in the ecological, cultural, agricultural, and everyday life of Northern Colorado

Earlier this year, local community members voted between two designs by Chelsea and “Life of the River” emerged as the winning design! Now, after weeks of painting the vision is coming to life on the historic Bas Bleu building in the River District

Come celebrate with us and meet the artist herself! Chelsea Gilmore is a Fort Collins-based muralist, installation artist, community art maker, arts educator and advocate
