2nd Annual F(ine)Art Sale!
It’s all in the poster folks.
Come support local artist or don’t, will you read this probably not, did you read the poster, also probably a no.
Am I pumped anyway ; yes, mostly.
There’s a pretty big variety of artists, from painters,ceramicists, jewelry, printmakers, music makers.
As always there will be coffee slinging too and other local makers
Or your cravin some kombucha is in there too !
Pretty neat to have so much community in one spot.
It’ll be a rootin tootin good time!

Half Crown Creative has been an ongoing project that artist Sara Bendix started in 2018 with the support of Bean Cycle owners. Sara’s ambition was to have artists working in resident smack dab in the middle of community. Bendix recruited local artists Abby Galvin and Devan Kallas to test and advise her initial program. All three of us made art in Bean Cycle for the span of around a year while customers drank coffee just tables away. Along side Bendix guidance we curated several shows, provided a sunday makers meet-up, and took blanket donations to make a blanket fort installation and then donated the blankets to the local shelters.

Since then Bean Cycle has seen a lot of changes. Sara Bendix had other opportunities presented to her, and has been accepted to a graduate program in chicago. Bendix left HCC to the hands of Devan Kallas and with the help of Jenna Biedscheid we wrote a flexible business outline. Together we knew we wanted a place where artist’s had space to work, make money from art, and grow as artists.
