National Day of Prayer - A Call for Spiritual Unity

On the Full Moon
Wednesday August 30, 2023

From Sunrise to Noon in your respective Homelands and Territories

The National Turtle Lodge Elders and Knowledge Keepers Council are calling for a National Day of Prayer on the Full Moon Wednesday August 30, 2023.

This Call for a National Day of Prayer is in response to a Dream that Elder Stephen Kakfwi (Dene Nation) received, directing us that we need to offer a collective prayer, lifting our Sacred Pipes, Lighting our Sacred Fires, Sounding our Drums, Singing our Songs, and Praying for all our Relatives across Turtle Island who are suffering and facing challenges.

We ask that you join us from your Homelands and Territories on Wednesday August 30, 2023, as we lift our Pipes, light our Sacred Fires, sing our traditional Songs, smudge, offer our Sacred To***co, and offer prayers in our own traditions in a collective way.
