WHOA ‼️College is back in session and RODEOS are right around the corner‼️ The summer flew by for everyone… we only have a couple weeks until the first college rodeo. The CSU RODEO team is bigger this year and full of new faces. We are excited to see how this season turns out for our awesome student athletes. Last night, CSU hosted the first ever All Star Rodeo. The format was ran off a light sequence creating a very unique competition and atmosphere! Our very own RAM McKinlee May had a chance to shine for the South team in the barrel racing and was able to secure a win for her sequence of barrel racing!!

We are grateful to Learfield College Rodeo and PBR for bringing such an awesome event to college rodeo. The sport is growing rapidly and college rodeo is no exception to the growth.

This past weekend, the CSU Rodeo Team wrapped up the season at the University of Wyomings college rodeo hosted at the Hansen Arena.
When the dust settled, athlete Olivia Process brought home the average win in the goat tying. She tied two impressive times - a 6.9 and a 6.6.
McKinlee May went into the weekend sitting 3rd in the barrel racing. After a knife fight of a barrel race, she bumped down to 4th. We are so proud of her hard work and know she will be back at the winners circle next season in all of her events.
Speaking of winners circles… the CSU Women’s team had some impressive finishes this semester. At the 76th annual Skyline Stampede they were the reserve champions of the weekend and at the UW rodeo finished 3rd.
This year the CSU Rodeo team just missed qualifying for the CNFR, but regardless of how the points worked out in the end we are proud of the progress this year and are very excited for next season and what the athletes will bring to the table.
