~Fort Benton Friday~

With a dusting of snow, Fort Benton is decked out and ready for Chouteau County Country Christmas!

So many events around the entire county this weekend. Kick off today with a visit to the Fort Benton Library’s book sale and end with Duke Otherwise at the CCPA concert Sunday at 3:00 at the Fort Benton Elementary Auditorium. All Chouteau County students are admitted free! With so much to do from Highwood, to Shonkin, to Geraldine, to Virgelle, to Big Sandy, it will be an exciting weekend.

Homestead Village, at the Montana Agricultural Center, 1205 20th Street, is all decked out for Christmas. You are invited to our special one-night sneak preview Saturday December 3rd from 5:00 – 8:00 PM during Chouteau County Country Christmas. If you wish to walk through the Village please park in front, on 20th Street, and walk along the side of the village road and on the boardwalks. If you wish to drive through, please enter through the front gate on 20th Street and exit through the back gate on 21st Street. Watch for updates on when we will open nightly as we get closer to Christmas.

Fair friends- after a heartfelt decision to step down as fair office manager, I want to express my sincere gratitude and thanks for your support this last year! Join us at Historic Old Fort Benton as Greg Smith brings to life the adventures and stories of James W. Schultz. Learn about the hunting of the last of the great bison herds, share in the adventures of the Blackfeet, and hear stories of that “foolishness” called Yellowstone National Park. Presented in Partnership with Humanities Montana.

We are flying out today for our show in Fort Benton, MT 2 men down! My keyboard player, Al Babyock, and my drummer, Tom Drenon, both have Covid!! We want to make sure the fans get a show!
