The Fireside Dinner Theatre is seeking energetic, motivated young performers, ages 8-14 (generally no taller than 5'3"), who can sing, act, and move well for our production of A CHRISTMAS STORY: The Musical. We are casting six boys and five girls, who will be double cast and alternate performances throughout the production. Tap dancing is a plus but is not required to audition or be cast. (The role of Ralphie does not tap dance.) Rehearsals begin October 10. The show runs from October 29 - December 20, 2026.
Audition Information:
Auditioners should prepare 16-32 bars (approximately 60 seconds) of a song that showcases their personality and acting ability. The selection may be from A CHRISTMAS STORY: The Musical, but it does not have to be. Auditions are open, and performers will be seen in the order they arrive. All roles are paid.
Please bring:
• A current photo or headshot (photos will not be returned)
• Sheet music if singing with accompaniment (an accompanist will be provided)
