More Than Mowing: How Your Parks Work for You
Each spring, the Parks and Recreation Department reviews park conditions and selects specific areas for turf treatment based on industry best practices. We only treat areas that truly need it, using observations and records from previous years to guide our decisions.
This targeted approach helps us keep athletic fields safe and playable, promote healthy grass growth in high‑traffic areas—all without over‑treating our parks. This is how we ensure a balance between quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
