We are actively monitoring the weather and we will take the appropriate actions concerning heat and any other weather related cancelations. For heat, we align with GHSA in using the wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT). This is a measure of environmental heat as it affects humans and animals. Unlike a simple temperature measurement, WBGT accounts for air temperature, humidity, heat radiation (from hot objects like the Sun or a furnace), and air movement (wind or ventilation). WBGT was developed in the 1950s as a part of an effort to reduce heat related illness and death during US military training. Please remind your child that hydration isn't a day of event, and should be a continual practice.

We will communicate any necessary practice modifications and/or cancelations to our coaching groups.
