🧺 Why the baskets?
You may have noticed a new addition to some of our classrooms this season—baskets!
This is one of the classroom management strategies our staff learned from Kyle Kahn during our recent Classroom Management Seminar, and we were excited to put it into practice at Legacy!
Each dancer has a designated place to keep their shoes, water bottle, cover-ups, and other belongings throughout class. This simple system helps us:
✨ Create more structure and organization in the classroom
✨ Keep dancers’ belongings together and easy to find
✨ Make transitions between shoes and styles smoother
✨ Reduce distractions and clutter around the room
✨ Teach dancers responsibility for their own belongings
✨ Maximize the time we have for learning and dancing
We are always looking for ways to continue growing as educators and create the best possible learning environment for our dancers. Sometimes even the smallest changes can make a BIG difference! 💜
