I’m wanting to post pictures and information so you can get an idea of who I am, what I love and value, and maybe even where you might guess I’ll stand on certain issues.
I’m beginning with this because its what I was think about when FB posted the question.
This is the team of men I was embedded with in Afghanistan in 2009-2010. It is Team Puma of the 33rd IBCT. We were stationed in Nerkh District … Maiden Shar and Wardak provinces on FOB (Forward Observation Base) Airborne.
These are some of the finest men and warriors I have ever known, and I was/am humbled to have been there with them. I love them … and the represent the America I want to live in. They represent the finest of our country. They deserve to be first for our help and assistance, and not placed last behind criminals, illegals, and any who trash our country.
These men make us the greatest nation ever … but we are losing that status and being destroyed from within.
Thank you brothers …

Thanks again everyone. It was close. Good news story.

Tuesday’s election saw some write-in candidates beating candidates already listed on the ballot.

Thanks to you all...
What a long day yesterday and sleepless night last night was.
While nothing is “official” until Friday when everything has been gone through and certified, I wanted to say this without conceding or contesting anything. I am strictly going by what the news reported last night.
First, let me say congratulations to Mayor Kelly Dougherty for her win in the election last night. I appreciate her dedication and service and will always keep her and our city leaders in my prayers. I will also always be available to them to help or give any assistance I can should they ever ask or want it. We all want Forsyth to prosper and be great, so I will do whatever I can to help with that.
Second, I cannot state my thanks enough for all the support, encouragement, and prayers that I received throughout this whole campaign. It is truly humbling to me that 98 citizens inside Forsyth city limits took time to get out and vote for me. I had LOTS of people who said they wanted to vote for me but lived outside the city limits which was also overwhelming and humbling.
Even though the election didn’t go as I (and us) would have hoped, I have been encouraged by how many awesome people I have been able to meet, and how many new friends I have made. This community has such wonderful people who love this city and area, and I believe we can all continue to work TOGETHER to make it great. I was blessed to be able to meet with so many of you and listen to your ideas and opinions.
While I am more appreciative than you can ever know for your kindness and support, I also want to tell you that I am sorry for letting you down and not winning.
I knew that being a no named write-in candidate was a very uphill battle, but I believe we definitely did well. Losing by only 12 votes was very close and I am so thankful to you all because you made it such a tight race ... not me. While losing stings more than I thought it would ... it is just a fact of life. Win or lose ... we move on and forward TOGETHER!!! This town is all of ours, and I encourage everyone to get in and stay involved. Go to the meetings, make your voice heard, and expect excellence and honor from our leaders. Further, demand fairness and equality for every single person regardless of class, money, position, or how long they’ve been here.
We need to emphasize to everyone the importance of voting and being involved. We should never expect the government to tell us what “we need to know” or to “keep us informed”. It is our job as citizens to be informed and BE the change we desire. We cannot be divided ... we cannot get ahead by being “us vs. them”. We need each other. WE ARE AMERICANS!!!
So as the great Ron Burgandy once said ... “stay classy Forsyth”.
Come on, we all need to lighten up and laugh a little right?
Thank you all again for your support and encouragement, and never forget that the best decision you will ever make is not for a candidate ... it is to accept and follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. May He be glorified in everything!!!

“Robert Quillin” on the write-in line.

When Forsyth residents head to the polls for the General Municipal Election on April 6 one of the decisions they will be asked to make is choosing a Mayor.
