We are wanting to know if anyone would be interested in a few classes prior to our Fair. We're thinking sourdough, canning, crocheting, etc.. This would not only teach new skills, but you can enter the items in the exhibit building for the fair!! What are your thoughts?

🎃🎃YOUTH BIGGEST PUMPKIN CONTEST🎃🎃
Weigh-In: Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
Come show off your gardening skills and see who can grow the biggest pumpkin in St. Francis County! Awards: 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place
ELIGIBILITY: Ages 18 and under. Pumpkins must be grown by the exhibitor or with assistance from their immediate family. Pumpkins must be grown in St. Francis County, Arkansas. 1 entry per youth exhibitor.

CONTEST RULES: Pumpkins must be brought to the SFC Fairgrounds for the official weigh-in by 5:30 p.m. on 10/21/2026. Contest officials will conduct the official weigh-in, and all decisions are final. Pumpkins will be judged by weight only. Pumpkins must be whole, sound and free from major rot, cracks or damage that affects weight eligibility. Pumpkins may be cleaned prior to weigh-in, but no artificial materials may be added to increase weight. The SFC Fair reserves the right to interpret contest rules and make final decisions regarding eligibility and judging. By entering, participants grant permission for photographs to be taken and used for fair publicity.

We had issues with printing some checks this year. They will be ready for pickup at the St. Francis County Extension office starting MONDAY! If you know any of these people - let them know or tag them! Apologies for the delay!

The fair may be over, but we don’t stop planning and learning! Arkansas Fair Managers Convention kicks off today! Thanks to Mrs. Anita Vandiver for decorating our table! We’ve got 7 attendees to this year’s conference in Hot Springs!
