LTP INVITE TO ALL TAP DANCERS

Dear Lynchburg & Surrounding Area Tappers,

Since 2017, the Lynchburg Tap Project (LTP) has been bringing together passionate tap dancers from across our community from area dance studios and universities. And we’re ready to hit the wood again!

We are inviting intermediate/advanced through advanced tap dancers ages 13 & up who simply love to tap to join this year’s Lynchburg Tap Ensemble. Whether you currently train at a local studio, are a college dancer, or are a tap alum who misses the sound of shoes on the floor - this is your moment.

✨ No audition necessary.
✨ Just come learn the choreography.
✨ Grab a tap board and make some music.

Rehearsals will be held at Forest Dance Academy as we prepare to entertain Lynchburg and the surrounding community through one of America’s greatest art forms - Tap Dance. Dust off your tap shoes and join a crew that celebrates rhythm, artistry, and community.

OUR MISSION | Established in 2017, the Lynchburg Tap Project is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the art of tap dance through community collaboration and performance. We provide an inclusive performance opportunity for intermediate and advanced tap dancers of all ages to continue honing their craft while sharing their love of rhythm and musicality with the greater Lynchburg community. Through structured rehearsals, quality choreography, and meaningful community engagement, LTP strives to elevate the standard of tap performance locally while fostering connection, mentorship, and a lifelong appreciation for this dynamic American art form.

FDA will be open for regularly scheduled classes today Thursday January 29th. The Parking Lot has been plowed but due to the cold temperatures it is still icy in some spots so please be extra careful.

We understand that your roads may still be impassable and you may not be able to get out to attend your classes, please use your judgement as to what is best for you and your dancer.

The Studio will be open for Dance Today.
Although the parking lot has been plowed, there may still be some slippery spots.
Please use extra caution when arriving and leaving the studio.
Dancer safety is our top priority, and if you feel uncomfortable travelling, we completely understand.
If you choose to stay home, please check with your teacher about make-up class options.
Stay warm, and we look forward to dancing with you!

🎉 Congratulations, Kaeva Slightham!🧑‍🎄Forest Dance Academy is thrilled to celebrate Kaeva for winning the giant edible candy cane thanks to her enthusiastic, joy-filled performance as one of our adorable Little Debbie Christmas tree dancers! 🌲✨
Like many of you, her energy lit up the float and helped make the Lynchburg Christmas Parade extra magical. Will ya just look at that Passé!!! Way to go, Kaeva — we’re so proud of you and all of our FDA PC Dancers! ❤️🍬
