Snuffy Jenkins Festival The festival showcases the best in local and regional bands, with an emphasis on bluegrass music and its close relatives in the acoustic music tradition.

The Snuffy Jenkins Festival is an annual bluegrass and acoustic music festival produced by the Rutherford County Arts Council dedicated to celebrating our local and regional musical tradition. The mission of Snuffy Jenkins Festival is to preserve, celebrate, and support the continued development of our local and regional musical tradition, and to honor the legacy of Dewitt "Snuffy" Jenkins, an iconic and much-loved entertainer and innovative banjo player. The Snuffy Jenkins Festival also offers free workshops for young people, and provides an opportunity for fans and historians of Snuffy Jenkins and the other great banjo pioneers from our region to gather and share their knowledge. Food vendors will be on hand serving barbecue and other festival favorites, and picnic tables, restrooms, and an air-conditioned visitors center at Globe Park make it a wonderful location for this unique event.
