July 4th!!!

Make plans to celebrate America's 250th birthday with a historic countywide celebration on Saturday, July 4!

For the first time, communities across Rutherford County are coming together for one shared Independence Day celebration to honor this once-in-a-generation milestone. The event is a collaborative effort between the Towns of Bostic, Forest City, Lake Lure, Spindale, Chimney Rock, Ellenboro, and Rutherfordton, along with Rutherford County Government and the Rutherford County TDA.

As part of the official America 250 celebration, a professionally designed fireworks spectacular will light up the sky over Lake Imogene at Isothermal Community College beginning at 9:30PM. The aerial show will feature 1,578 precision-fired shells ranging from 3" to 8".

Legacy Soccer Park will serve as one of the premier public viewing locations, with gates opening at 6PM. Guests can enjoy music from Sound Connection, treats from Sunset Slush, and concessions provided by the Rutherford County Soccer Association.

Guests are welcome to bring blankets and chairs; however, chairs with narrow metal legs or pointed supports are not permitted to help protect the playing fields.

Bring your family, your friends, and your patriotic spirit as Rutherford County comes together to celebrate this historic milestone! 🇺🇸

So many good memories…. I can hear him calling me “Puff” now. He had nicknames for all of us:) Puff, Little Puff, Hamburglar, Pistol, Light Bulb, Jumping Bean, Sea Monster, Big Tail, Eye Ball’s,Jaw’s just to name a few:) So many miles on the road we never stopped laughing. Howard Logan made a huge impact on all of our lives. Every week we still tell Howard stories. Howard worked hard for Sound Connection, but most important he was our friend. We will miss him, but we will never forget the the stories, his friendship and what he bought to our lives. We will miss you Shucky Ducky❤️ Quack Quack
