What is it like to work an outdoor trade show?

First, I am currently in Boone, Iowa it’s late August… it is now over 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the shade, with +60% humidity “heavy air”… I perform a 10-15 minute magic presentation each and every half-hour on the 15 & 45 to build a large crowd for our main demo theater…

I am the “official magician” for John Deere. We have several combines and tractors in our “booth” including the LARGEST tractor commercially made! Our exhibit space is over 60,000 square feet and is staffed with more than 150 sales people from all around the USA and South America.

The Farm Progress Show is billed as the largest outdoor farm show in the U.S., with over 360 acres of corn harvest and autonomy demonstrations.

This IS hard work… but I LOVE my job. Heck, I am doing card tricks for a living! Wouldn’t trade this for the world…

From Magic Live… to Live Magic in the Elastic booth at the Black Hat trade show in Las Vegas.

I am having a blast amazing the huge crowds and acting as a magical pied-piper to bring these crowds into our theater.

“Hey, who here is interested in hearing more about AI discovery, investigation, and resolution against cyber attacks?”

Next stop… Charlotte, NC with the Dell Technologies “Monitor Magic” road show. Dell is number one in sales of monitors, and with this much technology, combined with all these features Dell really IS magic… BTW, I am just here to add my sleight of hand to the experience!

Road show magic in Raleigh, North Carolina with the monitor team at Dell Technologies. This is my favorite burned $100 bill routine that always gets an amazing reaction from an audience of any size.

Now off to Charlotte to repeat the performance!
