These four hopeful young singers dream of musical stardom - but it’s suddenly cut short before their first big performance.

Through a miraculous twist of fate, the group is given one final opportunity to take the stage and perform the concert they never had the chance to share. Filled with classic songs, heartfelt moments, and plenty of playful humor, Forever Plaid is a nostalgic and uplifting tribute to friendship, perseverance, and the timeless joy of making music together.

Next year, our Encore kids will be taking on “The Pirates of Penzance”- and it feels fitting to take a moment to celebrate one of the greats who sailed these waters before us: Tim Curry.

With his unmistakable presence, wicked charm, and larger-than-life performance, Curry’s Pirate King is a reminder of just how much fun this wonderfully ridiculous character can be.

So today, we raise a tankard to Tim Curry and the unforgettable performers who have helped make the Pirate King such an iconic character.

Join us for our Red Carpet Revue on Friday, Sept. 11 as we celebrate an unforgettable season! Social time and appetizers begin at 6 p.m. and program begins at 7:30 p.m. 🌟

It’s a night dedicated to the talented casts, crews, directors, and volunteers who brought Aladdin Jr., The Aristocats KIDS, Guys and Dolls, Oliver!, Amélie, and Sliding Into Seniorhood to life. ❤️

The evening will feature:
🏆 Spotlight Awards voted on by cast and crew
🎭 Special awards presented by our directors
🎶 Fun performances featuring youth and adult performers
🍽️ Delicious food
🎁 A musical top hat raffle

Fond du Lac Community Theatre (FDLCT) is inviting theatre lovers to take their seats for another exciting season as season tickets for the 2026-2027 season are now on sale.

The 2026-2027 season promises audiences opportunities to laugh, be inspired, experience unforgettable characters, and enjoy the unique energy of live performance. Forever Plaid is an affectionate musical homage to the close-harmony 'guy groups' that reached the height of their popularity during the 1950s. This quartet of high-school chums, and their earnest dreams of recording an album, ended (symbolically, and even literally) in death, when their cherry red '54 Mercury collided with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. The girls were fine. The play begins with the wondrous and wondering Plaids returning from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory.
