Yesterday was ✨ Make It Monday! ✨

This week’s request came from my 10‑year‑old, who wanted to surprise her friend for her birthday. She asked me to make an axolotl and a tropical fish buddy — and I couldn’t resist.

The axolotl’s subtle color shifts create the coolest natural camouflage, and the tropical fish has a yellow that actually glows in the dark, making the green pop in the sweetest way. Handmade magic for a birthday surprise.

✨ Work‑In‑Progress Wednesday ✨

Life has been a whirlwind lately, but I’ve been steadily stitching away on this cozy wool hoodie for a customer. This beauty is worked up in the alpine stitch, which gives it that gorgeous, textured look I’m absolutely loving.

It’s made with 100% wool — breathable, warm, and perfect for all seasons, especially those chilly Michigan winters. I’m on track to finish the second sleeve and add the ribbing next week, and then it’ll be ready to head off to its new home.

Feeling really excited about how this one is coming together. Handmade magic takes time, but wow… it’s worth it.

✨ Make‑It Monday! ✨
I took a little break from crocheting Christmas presents to whip up something fun for the kids — a full DIY firing range!

I built a target wall that auto‑resets, two moving targets that flip when they’re hit, and a big bullseye to go along with some of the gifts they’re getting this year. Over the next couple days after work, I’ll be decorating everything and creating a point system so they can challenge each other for high scores.

Can’t wait to see the chaos… I mean friendly competition… unfold!
