WE'RE LOOKING FOR A LITTLE LULU!

Seeking one or two young actresses between the ages of 4-7 to play the role of Lulu in our production of WAITRESS: HIGH SCHOOL VERSION. Auditions are open to anyone who lives in Floyd County or attends a NAFCS school. The child performer should be confident and comfortable engaging in a small amount of dialogue and movement on stage. The role is open to performers of all ethnicities, abilities, and theatre experiences, and we are especially interested in young performers who resemble the student cast as her mother, Jenna.

Yesterday was our SEVENTH ANNUAL PAINT WAR!!! 🎨 This back-to-school field day event allows our students to get to know each other outside of rehearsals and make new friends before our fall show season starts! Thespian Troupe 1794 truly knows how to get messy, have fun, and show their true colors! 💚💛

Come shop our collection of old curtains, props, costumes, furniture, set pieces, home decor, craft supplies, videos, CDs, photographs, and other extra items from the FCTA archive!

The sale is open to everyone, so we would love to see all our families, alumni, community members and theatre patrons! Cash is preferred, and all proceeds go directly to support our trip to the International Thespian Festival in June 2027!

Students, don't forget annual headshots will be happening in the inner lobby tomorrow after school! Stop by before you head home or sometime before or after your audition!

In case you missed it, we are headed into our 59th school year of creating high school theatre excellence with the theme, EVERYTHING CHANGES! We are so excited to cheer on our students as they grow as performers, technicians, and young adults in the coming season.

🐦‍⬛NEVERMORE is performed by the Musical Theatre class for the Indiana Thespians one-act competition, in hopes of advancing to the state finals in January!

🥧WAITRESS: HIGH SCHOOL VERSION is a pilot production, meaning this is the first time this title is performed by any high school across the nation. We will also submit for consideration to be on the International Thespian Festival Mainstage. If chosen, it will be the 20th time an FCTA show is chosen for this honor, more than any other high school in ITS history.

🎹RAGTIME: SCHOOL EDITION is produced in collaboration with the New Albany Theatre Arts program, celebrating our first joint production in over a decade! This show will perform in the NAHS auditorium, showcasing students from both district high schools

🌵MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING is performed by our Advanced Acting class. This beloved Shakespeare rom-com, has been adapted to be western-inspired by our director Ms. Chalfant, with original music by our orchestra teacher, Mr. Elmore.

Save the date for our 2026-2027 season! In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming our students for the first day of school in the morning!

This opportunity is open to ALL students currently enrolled at Floyd Central High School! No previous theatre experience is required to participate.
