We had a wonderful time celebrating The KPA Bradley Awards and our spring musical of Hello, Dolly! Our students walked the red carpet, performed the titular song during the ceremony as a Best Musical Nominee, and cheered all night long for the winners! We are SO proud of the students who represented FCTA throughout the night:

This year was the first-ever Indiana All-State Musical, and 8 cast and crew members came from Floyd Central! SUFFS tells the story of how the 19th amendment was passed and the historical figures that fought for or against votes for women.

We are thrilled to share that SUFFS will be coming to the Floyd Central Stage this summer before heading to the International Thespian Festival Mainstage!

Shows will be on June 19 and 20 at 2pm in the Floyd Central Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at inthespians.booktix.com or by calling our box office at 812-542-2284.

"I would like to thank Owen Elsbury. I know he gets mentioned every time I have a shout out or some kind, but he told me he was offended when I didn’t mention him in my a capella speech even though that was before Something Rotten and we had never spoken before that, but I guess this is me making up for it. He gave me the confidence to be on a stage and perform my best. At first, I was so nervous to play someone’s wife because I had no idea how it would go, or how to even act like someone’s wife, but Owen made it feel so easy. Like I was just acting with a friend. Like we were just having fun, because we were. He made it so fun to play Bea and I couldn’t be more grateful for him and all the late night gossip sessions."

Are you a current 7th grader or parent of a 7th grader at Highland Hills Middle School? We have GREAT NEWS for you!

Starting this fall, 8th grade students will have the opportunity to take a first semester "Period Zero" Theatre Arts class at Floyd Central High School! This means you will earn high school credit as an 8th grader & have the chance to audition for advanced theatre classes starting your Freshman year.

Please reach out to your HHMS counselor if you are interested to get signed up. We CANNOT WAIT to see you in the theatre this fall 🤩
