Scarecrow & Friends offers fun filled entertainment for fairs, festivals and other festivities in the SW Virginia area. Linda started her clowning adventures in 1983 as a 4-H project in New Hampshire with her white faced clown Clover. . It was such a great experience that she signed up for classes and workshops on clowning and joined 'Clowns of America International'. Clover has clowned in the Sarasota Florida area and had the fortunate opportunity to work with former circus clowns as well as entertaining up and down the east coast. After 30 years of clowning around, Clover is now retired but Scarecrow has stepped in to entertain and bring smiles to her audiences. After winning a few awards for costume Linda decided to use him to entertain. Some of the venues recently at are Eastern States Exposition, Miles Smith Farm, Beans & Greens Farm, Floyd, Va County Fair, Floyd, Va Tractor Run, Hopkington NH Fair, many Farmers Markets. If you need entertainment to bring smiles to your function Scarecrow can help. He fits in well at Fall Festivals and other events. He wows the crowd by standing or sitting motionless making people think he's just a regular old scarecrow until he says "Howdy" or gives a friendly wave. It's fun to see all the different reactions from folks. If music is available "Scarecrow" brings out some fun instruments so people can join in on the fun. An invitation to dance with him gets people up on there feet. He will also walk around the venue telling a few little stories. One is about the farmer who wants to put him in the compost pile because he can't keep the crows out of his garden. After extensive experience and education Linda is proud to say she has a successful hobby business with many satisfied customers.
