A Virginia artist and award-winning photojournalist, Matt brings more than 40 years of experience observing and capturing the world around him.

Sam Guindon | Norfolk, Connecticut
A Connecticut painter who studied and taught painting in Maryland, Sam is fascinated by light and how we see the world.

Born and raised in Southwest Virginia, Sean focuses on portraiture and landscapes and is returning after participating in the 2019, 2022, and 2024 Floyd Plein Air Biennials.

The 5th Floyd Plein Air Biennial brings 30 juried artists from 10 states to Floyd County for six days of painting, September 14–19. Watch artists at work throughout the week and enjoy artist demonstrations, wet paint sales, the Friday Night Quick Draw, Plein Air Soirée, Collectors Preview, and the Public Gala Celebration & Art Sale.
