We are proud of our 8th Graders who auditioned and earned a spot in the ASBDA Middle School All-State Band! They spent the week at camp at PRCC in Poplarville and performed in their grand finale concert today. Thank you for representing our band program like you do, students!!

Our next senior is Ray McDaniel!

Ray has been a Trumpet player in the NWR Band Program for 7 years. He started band in the 6th Grade at Northshore Elementary.

Over his years in the program, Ray has been a member of Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band 2, and the Cougar Marching Band.

After graduation, Ray will be attending the University of Mississippi to double major in Math and Chemistry.

Our next senior is Kaol Todd!

Kaol has been a Trumpet player in the NWR Band Program for 6 years. He started band in the 7th Grade when he was in the NWRMS Beginning Band class. He started band virtually!! (during the Covid year!)

Over his years in the program, Kaol has been a member of Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band 1 and 2, and the Cougar Marching Band.

After graduation, Kaol will be attending Southwest Community College to study Music.

Of his time in the NWR Band Program, he says: "I’m very thankful for my time in band and all the friends I’ve made along the way, along with my musical growth."

Our next senior is Ford Molen!

Ford has been a Percussionist in the NWR Band Program for 6 or 7 years. He started band in the 6th Grade at Northwest Rankin Elementary.

Over his years in the program, Ford has been a member of Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band 1, Percussion Ensemble, and the Cougar Marching Band. He served on our Leadership Team as the Drumline Section Leader. He was in the Middle School All-State Band when he was in 8th Grade!

After graduation, Ford will be attending Mississippi State University to major in Mechanical Engineering, then plans to become a New York City billionaire.

Of his time in the NWR Band Program, he says: "ill let yall free style."
