Flower Mound Philharmonic Orchestra

Directions Website

Flower Mound Philharmonic Orchestra FMCO, was founded in 1994, to teach musicians the art of orchestral performance, promote music education, & grow awareness for orchestral music

The Symphony Orchestra, FMCO’s premier ensemble, contains professional and amateur adult musicians with advanced musical ability. Its other two ensembles supplement public, private, or home-school music programs and provide adults with a musical outlet. Here, children, youth, and adult amateur musicians perform together, growing and advancing through the orchestras. Families play together, adults learn new instruments, and everyone has an opportunity to excel. The Philharmonic seeks students with 5-8 years’ experience, and adults who wish to refresh past playing experience. This orchestra exposes the discipline, musicianship, and technique needed for advancement to the Symphony. Preparatory Orchestra seeks students with 2-4 years’ experience, and adult beginners. This orchestra practices the fundamentals of large ensemble playing.
