I’m pleased to announce that my latest planchette design - the Belladonna Planchette - is now part of the Nocturne Collection and available on my site. This was an exclusive to last year’s Dark October Seance participants. It’s stitched with DMC on 40ct Kunzite by Fiber on a Whim and is finished on a gorgeous planchette board made by I hope you love it as much as I do! 🏷️

I am pleased to present Summer’s Last Crown - Henrietta Peever, the third release in The Legacy Collection. Summer’s Last Crown is a reproduction of an English vanity sampler stitched by Henrietta Peever in 1833/34. Henrietta’s sampler speaks of those last days of summer, when you start to see the beginnings of autumn make their appearance. It includes an alternate verse with a nod to summer, motifs of butterflies, bees, flowers, parrots, squirrels, and a multitude of crowns. The model was stitched on 40 count Bee’s Knees by Seraphim using NPI silks and DMC. The chart also includes the original over one verse if you’d prefer to stitch her as a true reproduction.

Summer’s Last Crown is available on my website and I have also uploaded a video to my channel talking more about this beautiful sampler. Thank you all for your continued enthusiasm for Henrietta and I hope you enjoy stitching her as much as I have.

I want to thank each of you for your kind words and thoughtful messages about Thut. It means so much to me that so many of you got to know him through my posts and videos. Over the past month, as we navigated his heart condition and other challenges we faced, I found myself turning to my stitching for solace and inspiration. During that time, I created a new tombstone angel design—a companion piece to Lie Light.
Today, I’m ready to share it with you. It’s called A Poet’s Heart. The verse is taken from a poem by Percy Shelley, reflecting on the fleeting nature of life. The anatomical heart in the design is a nod to a haunting and beautiful story from the Shelleys’ lives: after Percy’s death in 1822, Mary Shelley kept his calcified heart wrapped in silk until her own death years later. One of the last poems he wrote was found with it. His tomb in Rome bears the inscription Cor Cordium—“heart of hearts.”

This piece holds deep meaning for me, not least because of the profound love and grief Mary Shelley carried with her. That emotion during my own period of mourning became the inspiration for this design.

The model for A Poet’s Heart was stitched on 40ct Sandbar by Under the Sea Fabrics with Weeks Kohl and was finished on a beautiful board by . The chart is available on my site. I hope that you love it as much as I do and that you’ll share your finishes with me.
