Bill Chamberlin earned a Bachelors Degree, a Master of Science Degree and completed all the coursework for the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from The Juilliard School in New York City. He studied composition privately with Hugo Weisgall, Vincent Persichetti, Elliott Carter, and Luciano Berio, and piano privately with Jeaneane Dowis (Madame Levine's assistant), Joseph Prostakoff and Edith Oppens.

In addition to his Juilliard training, he attended several universities and colleges receiving Florida State Teacher certification for Instrumental Music and has over 35 years of teaching experience both in the classroom (elementary through college) and in the private studio.

He has performed in various idioms and venues over the years including classical, jazz, pop, and sacred music. His conducting experience includes the Capitol Chamber Artists at the Juilliard School and the Mohawk Valley Chamber Players in concert series sponsored by Meet the Composer, an outreach of the New York State Arts Council. His Master's Thesis for Large Orchestra was one of nine pieces selected from among 120 international entries for performance by the Utrecht Philharmonic Orchestra in Utrecht (Netherlands) at the Gaudeamus International Composers Competition in 1974.

Bill Chamberlin attended The Juilliard School where he earned a Master's Degree and completed all the coursework for the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree. With 35+ years of teaching experience at all ages and levels, he delights in helping people reach the fullest extent of their potential to understand, appreciate, perform, compose and enjoy all kinds of music.
