my mom once told me that there's no disappointment when you accept things or people for what they are. but you don’t always have to cut people off when they don’t meet your expectations sometimes you just have to adjust the relationship + accept their capacity.

The Bible really be clear about not going backwards. Not to old situations, old people, old versions of you that God already pulled you out of.
