Come From Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

We know that sometimes finances can be tight, and when money gets stretched, experiences like live theatre can be the first things put on the back burner.

But we believe live theatre should be experienced by everyone, regardless of budget.❤️

That’s why we’re offering a special Pay What You Can performance of Come From Away on Saturday, August 15th. Tickets have a minimum price of just $8, allowing you to choose what you can comfortably pay. That also means if your budget allows over our regular ticket prices, we will happily take the extra as a donation towards The Shoals.
