Day 3 was Recording Day!

Yesterday, campers stepped into the studio to record the music they’ve been preparing all week. It was an exciting opportunity to experience the recording process.

We also celebrated our 1st and 2nd Graders at Spotlight On Tuesday afternoon. These youngest Spotlighters were cuteness overloaded.

The music is coming together, the friendships are growing stronger, and the finale is getting closer!

Day 2 was all about growth.

Across campus, campers spent the day refining music, strengthening their vocal skills, and preparing for the performances ahead. They listened, learned, encouraged one another, and discovered that great ensembles aren't built by individual talent alone, they're built by people working together.

The sounds coming from rehearsal rooms today were something special. We can't wait for you to hear what they've been working on.

Day 2 at Spotlighters Camp was all about finding our voice.

Campers spent the day diving into intensive vocal rehearsals, learning new music, strengthening their technique, and growing as performers. For many, it was also Solo Day, an opportunity to step forward, take a risk, and share their voice with confidence.

At Spotlighters, solos aren’t about being the loudest in the room. They’re about having the courage to be heard.

We’re proud of every student who stepped up today, and we can’t wait to see how these performances continue to grow throughout the week.

The doors opened, the music started, and Better Together is officially underway!

More than 200 students arrived at the University of North Alabama yesterday for the biggest Spotlighters Camp yet. Day One was all about belonging, helping every camper find their place, meet their team, make new friends, and discover that we’re stronger when we listen, encourage, and support one another.

From first-time campers to returning Spotlighters, the energy was electric from the moment they walked through the doors.

And can we talk about this incredible new home? We’re loving every minute at Norton and are so grateful for the opportunity to bring Spotlighters to UNA’s campus.

This is only the beginning.

Every summer adventure needs a couple of people willing to dream it up, take a few risks, and somehow make all the pieces fit together.

Meet Jeremy and Laurie, the Camp Directors of Spotlighters.

While you’ll see dozens of incredible staff members working with campers throughout the week, Jeremy and Laurie are the ones behind the scenes year-round, planning, organizing, problem-solving, and dreaming about how to make each summer even better than the last.

Their favorite part of Spotlighters isn’t the lights, the music, or even the final performance. It’s watching students discover new friendships, try something they didn’t think they could do, and realize they’re capable of more than they imagined.

This camp is truly a team effort, but these two are the minds behind the madness.
