🎶 SEASON 78 COMES IN LIKE A LION. 🦁
Tonight, the Florence Symphony Orchestra takes the stage for The New World — and we’re starting the season with a roar.
From Handel’s brilliant Music for the Royal Fireworks to two electric guitars and orchestra in Brandon Goff’s AlgoRhythm Stomp, tonight travels through some very different musical worlds.
And the centerpiece: Dvořák’s magnificent New World Symphony — sweeping, powerful and made to be heard live.

🌎 SEASON 78 BEGINS!
Dvořák’s New World Symphony is one of those works filled with melodies that somehow feel familiar from the very first notes.
Written while Dvořák was living in America, the symphony moves from quiet, haunting beauty to bold brass, sweeping melodies and one of classical music’s great finales.
And this is music that deserves to be heard live — with a full orchestra at the PAC.
The evening also features Handel’s brilliant Music for the Royal Fireworks and Brandon Goff’s AlgoRhythm Stomp, bringing two electric guitars and orchestra together on the same stage.

After an afternoon traveling through Europe, we made one final stop—Tennessee! ❤️

The Florence Symphony Orchestra surprised Sunday’s audience with a special encore: Dolly Parton’s beloved “I Will Always Love You.”
