Alright time for some more background.
When the Rough Necks project began, things were going a bit slow. I needed a head sculpt, something original. I started out buying a 3D printer, then a 3D scanner (actually two separate models) One worked well but not for what I needed, the other turned into a web of technical difficulties, one after the other that never got completely solved. My intention was to scan an existing head and then run it through a 3D program to modify it.
But int he men time I needed head. So I went a more traditional route. (see last post).
So with all that having been said (a short story made long). I finally realized I don't need a scanner, I need to just dive into a program and develop the skills to create to my hearts content.
So I have started a project dear to my heart.
Growing up I loved my Indian figures. Geronimo, Tanto and then Warpath from the big Jim P.A.C.K series. But I was always confounded by why there were so few. Where were all the famous Indians, Like Sitting Bull?
So I have begun work to solve that. I hope to have this in production at some point.
Keep coming around for updates. As this project unfolds.

I like to fly by the seat of my pants, kinda make things up as I go. Our in the case of this business, make the rules up as I go. When I sat down to form this company. (hard to say company since I'm the only employee) I needed a business plan. Well my plan was simple, put together a figure, and put it out for sale. Simple. Well sort of. I never put in the time to really digest all that entails. I knew I needed a head sculpt, but I'm not a sculptor. So I found a few people that could help out. So At this time I would like to give a tremendous shout out to the people that made Mc Taggart a reality. First off is Ken Davis who provided the 2D sketch, then there is Matthew LeCroy, who made the actual sculpt, and finally (but not least) Jase Marshall. Jase worked some long hours pulling off his magic, from a flawless casting, to a remarkable paint job! With out these people it would likely never Happened.
So if you need anything created I would suggest these fine, outstanding fellows.

For those of you not familiar with DDT (Daydreamer Toys), the idea was spawned actually from another project. I started out to make a 1:6 big Jim figure. I made a FB page devoted to the project, after a failed attempt to buy the TM for big Jim (Mattel actually renewed the TM 5 days before my application was submitted), I killed the project and formed DDT. The page for Jim has grown in popularity despite the lack of production. We did actually make a run of 20 and they sold very fast. As I stated once before, I've begun working with various 3D programs in an attempt to bring items to you. The fastest selling product out there seems to be head sculpts for all those customizers out there.
So I decided to try my hand at it, and the first test subject is in the works right now. For those interested in big Jim here is the link to my other page.

I just posted a screen shot of the big Jack test subject if you care to see it.

This page was dedicated to promote my 1/6 scale figure project. The project is now closed.

I'm now out of printer filament. A new spool is on the way. Trying out a yellow color this time. This particuler style of print un finished (unpainted) can be yours for just $5.00. It may even look good attached to the AT Training Tower, or just hanging from your rear view mirror.
