Pathfinder Park Event Center is open for animal sheltering for those being evacuated.
Follow the road back towards the arenas and someone is there for check in.

Update as of 2:40 pm: Firefighters continue to make progress on the KO Fire; however, shifting winds remain a challenge and continue to impact fire behavior.

No additional large air tankers have been ordered at this time. Cañon Helitack remains actively engaged in firefighting operations. Engine crews and hand crews continue working on the ground. The fire is currently estimated at 64 acres with 0% containment. Highway 115 remains closed from Gate 12 to County Road K. Please continue to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Three separate fires were initially reported. The largest fire remains near Mile Marker 20. Smaller fires located near the bottom of the hill and on O Street have been extinguished.

MANDATORY EVACUATION UPDATE: an evacuation notice has been sent out to all of Fremont County Road F45. We will continue to update this post.

Fire crews are currently on scene of a wildfire near State Highway 115 at Mile Marker 20, in the area of Fremont County Road F45.

The fire is currently estimated at approximately 50 yards by 50 yards.

State Highway 115 remains closed until further notice. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.

Emergency personnel are actively working the incident. Please use caution, avoid the area, and allow first responders room to operate safely.
