To say that we are overwhelmed with gratitude to everyone who sponsored, volunteered, had a booth, provided food, played music, and attended the First Annual SoCo Libation Fest would be an understatement. It was more amazing than our wildest dreams could even imagine! Thank you!

The 2022 SoCo Libation Fest is finally here and happening TODAY!!!!!!
This is a family friendly indoor/outdoor event and entry is free. Libations will be available for both on-site and off-site consumption, and is a great way to have drinks made by some of your favorite Colorado producers and discover some new favorites as well! The day will feature libation vendors, food trucks, live entertainment all day, market vendor shopping, and activities for all to enjoy. The Free Sober Trolly will be available to bring festival goers to and from Canon City, Florence, and Penrose (check the website for Trolly schedule and locations) Camping will be available on site for those who wish to stay & play!

Axe and the Oak Distillery has been in the beautiful city of Colorado Springs, Colorado since day one! We'll have the ciders at the SoCo Libation Fest too!
Andy, is a host of the fest with C Squared Ciders and Red Barn Orchard will be there on Saturday. He's out of Penrose and is one cool dude! Make sure to swing by and talk to him to find out about what he has in store.
Apple Valley Cider Company will also be there! "Apple Valley Cider Company was born in 2017 out of a love of craft brewing and cider making. After working in the brewing industry for years I wanted to start something of my own. I always enjoyed making cider and wanted to share it with friends and my hometown of Penrose, CO. All of our ciders are gluten free and made with no added sugar, just apple juice and pureed fruit."

Need a safe ride alternative for the SoCo Libation Fest on August 20th?
We have the Sober Trolly Schedule for you with pick up AND drop off locations in Canon City, Florence, and Penrose!
You may ask yourself why it's called the "Sober Trolley" and that's because the trolley driver will be one million percent sober so you can enjoy yourself (you are not required to be sober to ride, but it's cool if you are…gas is expensive).
Some suggestions from us: Get a ride or walk to the trolley pickup location of your choice, come hang out at the fest, get a ride back to that location when you're done and call the person that dropped you off (moms are great for this, and they'll be proud that you're making good life choices), walk, or call a cab to get you the rest of the way home. DO NOT DRIVE.
Don't worry. If you do end up driving to the Fest and imbibe more than you planned, take the trolley back and follow the above suggestions to get you all the way home, then come get your car the following day.
Let's make this event fun and wonderful in the most responsible way. Plus, the Trolley is just so darn adorable!

The SoCo Libation Fest is a family friendly event and will be fun for all ages (obviously there will be libations for people who choose to enjoy those and are 21+...obviously, it's in the name 😉).
Nature's Educators will be there with live wildlife shows all throughout the day!

Gotta Bounce will have FOUR bounce houses that kids can play on for a small fee. Pro-tip: make sure to bring socks for your child, socks are required.

There will be several market vendors so you can browse and shop!

Food trucks galore.

One Week Y'all, until this venue is full with all of you!!!!! Are we on countdown mode? Hell yes!
At this time next Saturday the SoCo Libation Fest will be in full swing and we are just so excited!
It will take place at the new Pathfinder Park and Event Center - Colorado on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from Noon to 8:00 pm. The event is co-hosted by Florence Brewing Company, and our featured non-profit organization, Royal Gorge RIO. This is a family friendly indoor/outdoor event and entry is free. Guests who choose to enjoy the libations will need the reusable branded festival cup that will be theirs to keep for a suggested donation of $5 to Royal Gorge Rio. Libations will be available for both on-site and off-site consumption, and is a great way to have drinks made by some of your favorite Colorado producers and discover some new favorites as well! The day will feature libation vendors, food trucks, live entertainment all day, market vendor shopping, and activities for all to enjoy. 🍷 You know Pops Vineyard is going to be at the SoCo Libation Fest (we talked about them previously) but did you know that Bush Hollow Winery AND Bugling Elk Vineyards will be there too!
Brush Hollow Winery is located in Penrose. They are a Colorado family-owned business with more than 20 years experience in the wine industry. A bit from their website: "Brush Hollow Winery and Vineyard found in Colorado’s Apple Valley is proud to bring you our selection of 100% Colorado-grown Wine, Cider, and Mead. We are dedicated to establishing Colorado’s Apple Valley as the world’s next premier wine growing region. We believe Our unique climate in Colorado’s Banana belt, High-altitude, and limestone soil will be the perfect base for growing Malbec, American Hybrids, and Golden Muscat grapes." Way to work with the land, right!?
Bugling Elk Vineyard is also located in Penrose (What!? Is Fremont County the next Napa? Maybe so!). Bugling Elk Vineyards and Winery was established in 2018 by Shawn and Alexis Kauffman. Shawn is in the Army and serves as a Special Forces Operator who will be retiring after 26 years in 2023. They initially planted over 1400 Malbec grape vines in the Spring of 2018 hoping to produce a high-altitude grape that rivals those coming from Argentina. They will continue their endeavor in maturing their grapevines over the coming years, but are currently focused on finishing their winery and tasting room which will be opened to the public in late Spring 2023.

Currently, Bugling Elk has five different wine varietals for tasting which consists of Merlot, Cabernet Dore, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Moscato. The Kauffmans are hoping to continue building a more pronounced grape and wine culture in Fremont County which they came to love while stationed in Germany. "We hope you enjoy our wine with your friends and family."
