Contact our email if interested!From passing out schedules at events, to selling merchandise at headquarters or events, to supporting the musicians that make it possible, there's something for any willing hands to do! If you work at least four hours, your Handy Festival t-shirt is free!

The Music Preservation Society is officially opening submissions for the 2026 W.C Handy Music Festival Design Competition!! Whether you’re a student, professional, or passionate creative, we want to see your unique vision of the Handy Festival and the rich musical heritage of The Shoals!

YOUR design could be the face of the 2026 festival!
Featured On: T-Shirts, Official Posters, and Advertising Across the Region

Get the kid out this morning to enjoy Kidz Jam and Jazz It With Your Trash.

Kidz Jamm starts at 10:00 AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 103 Darby Avenue, Sheffield, AL. This event is free and features Shoals Area piano students with bassist Terry Richardson and drummer Quinn Stanphill.

Jazz It Up With Your Trash, featuring Microwave Dave, at Rogersville Library at 10:30 AM. Rogersville Public Library, 74 Bank St., Rogersville, AL. Bring your own recyclable plastic bottle or can, shoebox, or coffee can and make musical instruments to play with Microwave Dave’s impromptu band! This event is for ages 3 and older and is free!
