Schedule for the day:
Dance Makers (2-3 years with parent/guardian) 4:30-5:15 PM
Designed for young children and adults to move together, this class builds and encourages a child's creativity. This class incorporates a wide variety of music, props and partnered movement in a safe and friendly environment. Body and spatial awareness, coordination, and exposure to many music styles are all elements of each class. Dancers should wear comfortable clothing to allow movement.
Discover Dance (4-5 years, parents encouraged to observe) 5:30-6:00 PM
Discover Dance introduces fundamental skills and locomotor movements through creative improvisation, play, and guided discovery. For this workshop, dancers should wear comfortable street clothes that allow movement.
Introduction to Ballet (6-7 years, parents encouraged to observe) 6-7 PM
Dancers will explore beginning ballet vocabulary and technique with no prior experience necessary. Dancers should wear close-fitting but comfortable clothing, such as leggings or shorts and a t-shirt. Long hair should be pulled back from the face and secured in a ponytail.
Children's Intro to Hip Hop (7-12 years) 5-6 PM
This beginning-level class explores culture of Hip-Hop and its foundational technique. Students should wear sneakers and comfortable clothing that allows them to move easily.
Teen Hip Hop (13-18 years) 6-7 PM
For dancers with previous dance experience in Hip-Hop or other styles. Dancers will hone their technique and learn more complex sequences of choreography. Students should wear sneakers and comfortable clothing that allows them to move easily.
