Grand rising Family hope all is well for the betterment of the people. Last night we had a very heart to heart conversation with one of our dear brothers from Lansing. Going over the importance of reparations.

This year for Juneteenth we have some many topics for the people to be engaged in, next week on June 11, we are hosting one of those important sit down conversations. For those who want to be involved and who honestly seek change for the next generation. Come out in support the family, ultimately we are the change we seek. 🔥JUNETEENTH FAMILY REUNION RECAP🔥
Yesterday, June 22nd, we wrapped up an amazing month of celebrating FREEDOM, UNITY, and CULTURE with our traditional Juneteenth Family Reunion right here in Flint! 💚❤️🖤

Despite the heat, the love was even hotter! 🔥☀️ We came together like family, relaxing, connecting, and enjoying good food, sweet ice cream, live music, and some good ol’ fashioned basketball. 🏀🎶🍦

Vendors were on site holding it down, the vibes were high, and the spirit of community was alive in every smile, every beat, and every bite.

Juneteenth isn’t just a day, it’s a movement, a legacy, and a reminder that TOGETHER, we are powerful. 💪🏽

Thank you to everyone who made this celebration month unforgettable. See you next year! ✊🏾

✨ Juneteenth at the Flint Cultural Center – June 21, 2025 ✨

Yesterday, the heart of Flint came alive at the Flint Cultural Center for a powerful day of unity, reflection, and celebration. As part of our traditional Juneteenth festivities, we gathered with purpose and pride, marching for justice, sharing culture, and building community.

The grounds were filled with vibrant vendors, resource tables, and the sounds of a live band echoing through the air. We were uplifted by cultural dancers, inspired by artist Rello Be, moved by the voice of Gwen Hemphill, and empowered by the words and wisdom of the legendary Mama Sōl. And there was so much more.

This wasn’t just an event, it was a reminder that real change starts with all of us. To truly move forward, we must each play our part. Every person. Every race. Standing together. Walking together. Working together.

✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 Let’s continue to honor our past by actively shaping a better future.
