It's time for another member spotlight, featuring our most whimsical member, Joe Mier!

Joe holds a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan-Flint. He is an energetic performer and passionate teacher who works as a freelance musician and teaches privately at Grand Blanc Music. Joe is also a former competitive swimmer who coached swim, taught classes and private lessons for a number of years with Kearsley High School, Davison Athletic Club, and the YMCA of Greater Flint.

Outside of Kearsley Street he is an active member of several other Flint-based groups such as By the Willow, Toolology, Top Bunk, and The Carolyn Mawby Chorale.

We're so excited to partner with Irene's Craft Kitchen & Biergarten for our FIRST Jazz Night @ Irene's! Come on out & support the future of Jazz Education with us!

We’re excited to introduce something new at Irene’s.

In partnership with the Kearsley Street Big Band, Irene’s will host a featured regional high school jazz ensemble during dinner service each month. Musicians will perform individually and then come together throughout the evening, creating a truly unique live music experience for our guests and giving talented young artists a stage to shine.

We’re beyond excited to see what this grows into.

Irene’s will remain open for normal dinner service, and participation in Jazz Night is completely optional. Guests wishing to enjoy the live performances will be asked to contribute a $10 music charge, with proceeds helping us support and provide meals for our musicians.

A limited number of non-refundable advance seating preference reservations will be available based on indoor capacity. If weather cooperates, we’ll move the experience into the Biergarten and release additional seating opportunities.

It's time for another member spotlight, featuring our chillest member, Dae McEachern!

Dae is a multi-degree holding instrumentalist, earning their Associate's in Fine Arts from Mott Community College, as well as a Bachelors in Music Performance from the University of Michigan - Flint. Dae is an avid music educator, teaching private lessons with both A Joyful Noise Music Studio in Fenton, and Great Lakes Music Studio in Lapeer.
