Obsidian is back and they haven't forgotten who ended their Midwest Tag Team Championship reign. Ray Adams and Prince Abdul brought a bolt of lightning into the Tag Team Division electrifying the Midwest Faithful. But as exciting as they are, they can be just as terrifying in their pursuits of Championship gold.
Tag Team Champions, The Awakening are entering Aftershock beat up following their match with The Monihan Mafia last month at Breaking Point. Devin Bliss is rumored to have sustained a serious back injury although no official word has been made. Obsidian would be an enormous task at 100%, but if the Awakening are limited, Adams and Abdul will find it and exploit it and walk out the New Midwest Tag Team Champions.
DC "The Foodie" has been tasked with being the guest referee in charge inside the ring. Can he keep these four awesome competitors in line and call this match straight down the middle?

Ray Adams was on the verge of defeating Theo Strong last month before Adam Rohrgeous intervened, allowing Strong to walk away victorious. Now, the leader of Obsidian is looking for some payback.
Rohrgeous will once again be standing alone as he represents The Establishment, the Tag Team Champions. With The Awakening scheduled to be in the building as well, questions arise as to why Theo Strong would opt to abandon has tag team partner during this potentially dire situation.

At last month's "Keep on Rollin' event, Commissioner Chewy exposed Giovanna Rossi as a fraud forcing her to relinquish the Midwest Heavyweight belt before having her removed from the building. He also announced Jan 24, at A New Era, a NEW Midwest Champion would be crowned. The how's what and whys of how a new Champion will be crowned have not be released yet, but a new King of the Midwest is about to sit upon the throne.
