This Sunday May 3rd is our 121st show and the end of another series of shows at Years of Farming Bluegrass Show. We will be drawing for another autographed instrument! Just like an autographed ball it is the autographs that are of value, not the ball or instrument itself. We have given away 10-12 autographed instruments since starting Years-of Farming in 2011 and had some happy winners and have gotten some signed by greats who are no longer with us like J D Crowe, Dr. Ralph Stanley, Dave Evans, James King, Melvin Goins etc! The winner might decide to keep getting more autographs on the banjo or be happy with the ones I got and never get any more! Tickets will be available until the end of show this Sunday May 3 featuring Special Consensus with Matthew Sidney Parsons and Logan Cooper opening. Tickets are $3 each or 2/$5 and are available at the show or by contacting me. We have sold tickets on this banjo since our first show of 2025/2026 so the winner does not have to be present to win. I will miss carrying this banjo to shows and festivals to get autographs but I will start carrying a fiddle, guitar or perhaps another banjo starting on another autographed instrument for our next series of shows! It has been a fun venture for me. Over the years I have been asked “do I want to jam after a show, that they didn’t know I was a banjo (or fiddle or guitar) player or how long have I been playing” when all I can really do is carry an instrument and get some autographs!😁 It’s been fun!
