1995 I entered an art contest from a popular magazine called “Wizard Magazine” it covered everything in comic news. They had an art contest titled “create a villain for Conan” the rules were the size allowed. A short story of the origin n it had to be in black n white only! Well I did everything except I sent it in color 😄🤷♂️ months later I I received a letter stating that I would have taken first place if I kept it black and white so instead, I got second place and my prize was the first issue of Conan signed by all the artists. My character would have made it as the bad guy in the first issue.
