Hey Toasties! 🔥 So I oopsed... 🤣 I would be done with week 2 of if I hadn't done a week 4 prompt & started a week 3 prompt on friday. 🥴 My brain was still focused on some big business and I just moved over to the next part. So wk2 Guardian is at the top and I am working on wk2 balance. We are half way there.., just keep going! 😁 On to Week 3.

Hey Toasties! 🔥 I hope everyone had a good weekend. I spent Saturday & Sunday trying to finish up the fish DWF community project. The glow is really starting to pop & I haven't added any white yet. Just goes to show that darks can really help. 😁

I get asked all the time what 4 pens to start with for wiretip . 🔥 These are my 4 recommended pens to go with the Optima 1 woodburner from for the kind if burning do. The 18M spear shader, 9M writing, 17SR coarse hair/fur, and 19m ball tip. Although, if you have one of the other big name burners you can use the Optima pens with those... an Optima cord may be required. 😉

I thought I would post a visual journey with my woodburners. It took me a while to put them away. I felt guilty about spending all of this money but no longer using them because of different issues with how they burn/work. It started with unplugging all of the pen cords except for the Optima from . Then one day I went into my studio & started putting the rest into early retirement at the top of my art cabinet. All the burners in the photos: Not shown is the or woodburners. The walnut hollow was returned to the store after I reviewed it & tekchik went back into it's shipping box right after I tried it out. The Optima has been my one and only now for almost 3 years. Objectively after 14.5 yrs of burning, I can say the Optima is the out of my horde. 😂

Hey Toasties! 🔥 Here is where I left off yesterday with the dragon after the live & a few days ago with the owl. I have been using the Optima 1 from for both pieces. Actually all of my pieces since 2017. 😁 I'm going to get the front rocks done on the dragon today & then switch back to the owl. I have many things to get done, but I want to finish up the owl sooner instead of later... lol I'm slowly getting closer. 😉 Next week lives are for the trees & fog on the dragon burning.

Hey Toasties! 🔥 I was able to spend a little time with Morgana & finish getting her blocked. Monday night will start the stone she is perched on. Well the show is done & I am exhausted. I just want to thank everyone sooo very much for all of you wonderful support. I did pretty darn good at the show. In the collage photo I put the pieces in order of the ribbons from highest to lowest. I won all 3 big ribbons for all of the advance wood burning category. I won $85 in gift certificates to different sponsors of the show which included $50 to two different wood businesses, so I got a bunch of basswood. I also picked up an extra Optima 1 18m spear shader with my $25 Mountain Woodcarvers gift certificate. All I have left is $10... 🤣😂🤣

Hey folks! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Honestly I forget to do so. 🤣 Quick catch now. So I finished my self portrait project (videos on my channel linked in bio) and now I am packing these 5 pieces up to head down to Mesa Az for the 2020 Desert Woodcarvers Show this weekend.
