Enjoying this moment. I am sitting at my table pinning hems on towels that need to be hemmed. I am enjoying the moods and emotions that each convey. One common warp but different wefts that create a variety of personalities.

Working on new towels! Playing with color some more. I did orange and red wefts for 2 towels that matches the warp exactly and then 2 with slightly different wefts to contrast. I love seeing how it changes the pattern!

Warp all tied on and weaving started

Tying on. If you remember, I left some extra warp from my last project.

There is debate on whether tying each new warp strand onto the each strand of the old warp is worth it or truly saves time. I think it does save some time but there is some frustration with pulling each knot through the reed slots and heddles.

However, i do decide to do this often as it does cut down on yarn waste and preserves a perfect threading. In this particular case, the threading was a tad complicated and tying on prevented mistakes.

It looks like a tangled mess but I still use my lease sticks to provide order and as the warp is wound in, everything falls into place.
