I’m so bad at remembering that so, so many of our prior shows are on YouTube which means I forget to remind you! Some of these artists have died, some have moved, some have just lost their artist self to how busy life can be.

Others, you can watch evolve. Go from sets to being featured. The confidence in their posture, polish in their performance says it all.

On Friday at Latina Bohemian & Satyrn Byrne’s Full Mooniest Mic 🎙️🌸, Laura is going to sell some of her upcycled clothing and fabric crafts. The prices reflect the professionalism, $10 for shirts, $20 for jackets and dresses…$5 for everything else. What’s “everything else”? Can’t ruin the surprise!

Last night, Laura went to a memorial for Tasteless Jack. Over and over again, people shared how Jorge’s laugh and songs were the soundtracks to so many joy-filled memories, how his support and encouragement had changed how they saw themselves as artists. He was a very early supporter of the Openest and someone who we respected for his musicianship, passion, and endless generosity. The doors he opened for people, the connections he made, will be his legacy.

Be that person. Be the fan who posts a nice comment, be that friend who gives a ride to the gig. Artists are more alike than different, and we all need one another while we have each other 🌸🎙️ RIP friend 🎶💔

List drops at event. Sets are five minutes of whatever you want: poetry, comedy, bitching, instructing, literally anything. OR two songs: originals or covers. If you wanna sing to a backing track you can but only one please!

ALL ages! We’ve had as young as like five and as old as ninety-four. Absolutely free to get in,only the bar costs money and if you want to order delivery from one of the many places close to the venue.

Feel free to come and go for as long as you please throughout the night. Feel free to bring flyers for your own events to let people know what else is going on. Participate as much or as little as you want, it’s the OpenEST for a reason 🌸🎙️

Music at the Museum was the perfect summer evening: some of the strongest vocalists and best original songwriters in Massachusetts with an elegant little breeze running through the courtyard.
