β¨ Firefly collage card! β¨
This beauty sold last month, but I still wanted to honor it on my feed.
The base was a blue wash I did YEARS ago. If you look closely, you can see small blue flowers with yellow centers in the wash. I was experimenting with new card designs and set this one aside. I'm so happy that years later, it could find new life!
The moon is a moon stamp I dipped in calligraphy ink before stamping. The result is a textured print that reads so beautifully. I used my mason jar stamp directly on the blue wash. The grass is cut from one of my Hill of Three Oaks prints that got a bit of water on it somehow??? The words and moths are stamps bought for me years ago and they are some of my favorites to use.
Finally, the gold dots are a combo of hole punched gold paint and dropped gold wax globs. The different sizes and textures make for a varied, interesting piece of practical art that is both an fun greeting card and a unique gift!
I love my little collages π
