What a great turnout the Boulder Art Gallery had for Paul Gaj's closing reception and show. A great mix of friends, family, and music by Bob Jordan added so much to the event. On an exciting note, Paul's "silent auction" piece, America the Beautiful, was sold. A huge thanks to Iphie Burg and her "Village Art Show" for organizing the event!

Just acquired by the Boulder Art Gallery is this large vintage oil on canvas painting titled "Bridge Over the S**o River", North Conway, NH. This painting was done by the well listed and highly collected artist, Richard Gordon Packer (1916-1998). During the 50’s, Richard Packer had art galleries in both North Conway, NH and Marblehead, MA. Perfect in size and scale for that special spot over a couch or fireplace. "Original Art.....the Perfect Gift".

The Boulder Art Gallery is fortunate to have just acquired this original watercolor/mixed media painting by the very well-known local artist, Luann Hume. Known locally as the "Birch Tree Lady", Luann's paintings of birch tree landscapes are among her most sought after and instantly recognized works. Nicely framed, matted, and signed by the artist. Sometimes, an artist's painting can remind us of fond times and memories spent with family and friends, and finding the right piece of art can bridge the gap between yesterday and today. Paul Gaj's painting, "Nauset" recently found a new home when a customer recognized it as a location that was near and dear to her heart, a painting that captures life's best moments. Such is the case with this painting of Nauset Beach in Eastham, MA.

The Boulder Art Gallery has just acquired this absolutely gorgeous and uniquely done oil on board painting of Hendrick's Light in West Southport, Maine. This vintage painting by C. David Adams, is done in a heavy impasto style, mono-chromatically in several shades of blue. Nicely framed and a stunning and unusual statement piece. Artwork is 18" x 24", framed, 26' x 32". $550

The Boulder Art Gallery is pleased to have just acquired this original watercolor by the nationally known artist Cecile Ryden Johnson. This is an exceptional rendering of Main Street in North Conway, NH during ski season. A quick glance at her biography shows that winter, ski, and snow scenes were among her favorites. This hard to find piece of artwork of this great NH town, is untouched and still retains its original matting, and period frame. Artwork is 12" x 16" framed, 20" x 26". $450 (Please excuse the glare as painting is under glass)

Thanks so much to all who ventured out today to view artist Paul Gaj's show, "View of a New England Artist." Everyone enjoyed the live music of Bob Jordan as well as the incredible display of Paul's New England art! There is still plenty of time to stop in the Gallery and check out the artwork and also time to take part in a silent auction of one of Paul's specially done paintings celebrating 250 years of America. Thanks again to Iphie Burg of the "Village Art Show" for another successful event.
