I have had some conversations recently with local artists and fellow vendors at events about pricing. And I was shocked to hear from the majority of them that I am undervaluing my art! After reviewing several different pricing formulas that they use as well as seeing the rising cost of materials over the last year, I have come to the difficult decision that they are right. And while I am still not comfortable going to the higher end of the range they formulated for me, I am going to be increasing my pricing beginning June 1st to the lower end of the range. I will be updating pricing on all my current paintings the weekend of June 1st. Increases will not effect any commissions that I have in progress prior to June 1st.
