Last year, we had the privilege of expanding our circle of friends and getting to know Denny Jarrett and the incredible mission behind BFF;Journeys

Denny visits Anchored Sports several times each week, and we've had the opportunity to see firsthand the impact he and his coaches are making. Through their dedication, they are helping individuals learn the game of golf and experience opportunities many never thought possible.

We're grateful to Denny and the entire BFF Journey team for allowing Anchored Sports to be a small part of this amazing journey. Watching participants grow in confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy the game we all love is truly inspiring.

BFF Journey is another example of what it means to be Anchored in this community, creating opportunities, building relationships, and making a difference one swing at a time.

One of the missions behind Anchored Sports has always been to be truly anchored in our community.

This past weekend, thanks to all of you, we had the opportunity to support two incredible organizations that are making a difference right here at home. On Friday, 15% of our sales were donated to Little Lions Playschool and on Sunday, 15% of our sales were donated to The Garrison Fatherhood Program through the Women’s Resource Center of Hancock County.

Because of your support, we're excited to share that Little Lions Preschool will receive $240, and The Garrison Program will receive $300!

To our many new followers, we'll be sharing more of our story later this week. But the short version is this: in 2020, one of our owners faced several emergency surgeries. Through that difficult season, this community surrounded our family with prayers, meals, encouragement, and support. By the grace of God, she is still with us today.

We have never forgotten what this community did for our family, and giving back is one small way we can say thank you.

💔 This year's batting cage casualty count: **7 bats.**

First, we want to say—we completely understand. There is nothing better than stepping into the cage with your child and showing them a few swings, sharing tips, and making memories together. We love seeing families enjoy the cages together.

Unfortunately, we've had several bats destroyed this season because adult-sized swings were taken with youth bats, or because softball bats were accidentally used in baseball cages. While these things are usually honest mistakes, replacing bats adds up quickly and impacts our ability to keep equipment available for everyone.

To help prevent this, over the next week we will be moving all batting cage bats behind the counter. Guests will simply need to ask an attendant for a bat, and we'll help make sure everyone gets properly sized equipment for the cage they're using.

So if you're planning to step in and show your future all-star that home run swing, we absolutely encourage it—just let us get you the right bat first. ⚾😊

Unfortunately, due to the weather we will be canceling the event for Pierce's Crew tonight for the safety of the families as well as our staff.

🌧️ Rainy day update from Anchored Sports Outdoor!

We know the weather isn't ideal, but we're still open! As long as it's just rain and there is no lightning in the area, our Mini Golf Course will remain open and the Driving Range will be available using mats only.

⚾ The Batting Cages will be closed for the evening due to the weather.
