Can you believe it?!! Its time to begin auditions for Bye Bye Birdie. May 9 and 16, 10 am to 2 pm at the Jenkins home, 160 N 300 W in Fillmore. We'll have you read a part, sing a song of your choosing and maybe even dance a step or 2. We have parts for adults and teens but would welcome younger kids with their parents for some of the chorus scenes.

DJ Productions announces auditions for its 2026 summer musical, “Bye, Bye Birdie”. Auditions will be held on May 9 and May 16, both Saturdays, from 10 am to 2 pm at 160 N 300 W in Fillmore. We have several parts for adults and teens with a couple of parts for younger kids. I particularly need a family - mom, dad, teenage girl (16 or older) and kid brother as well as an adult woman who can sing, dance and speak Spanish. Auditions take only a few minutes and are done first come, first serve. Rehearsals will be on June 6 with performances on Aug 6-10. Lynette and I are really looking forward to having as many of you as we can join us again. We are still playing with Diane, Tiffany and Ian who always make us sound great. Lynette has already been looking at costuming ideas. We have a new choreographer this year. Erika Youngberg has volunteered to get us dancing this summer. She has loads of experience with all kinds of dance, did ballet at BYU and is so talented. Not only that she has a great personality that fits right in with the rest of our production team. Roger Whitaker and Thayne Christensen will be building sets again. Lynette and Lareena Lyden have already begun doing advertising and soliciting donations. Jessica Carcamo is finishing up her degree in theater and is excited to be our assistant director.

Now - we just need you to be in the cast! We are going to have so much fun!

We are excited to announce our musical for this summer will be Bye Bye Birdie. This is a great show, set in the late 1950's about a pop singer being drafted into the US Army and the contest for one lucky girl to give him his last kiss. Lot of wonderful music, a really funny story and costumes from the 50's. We will have parts for all ages although mostly teens and up. We would love to have married couples and families join us again - its such a wonderful way to spend the summer together.

We are still awaiting the final contract to arrive but just couldn't wait to let you all know our plans. We will be doing auditions in May and starting rehearsals the beginning of June. The show will be Aug 6-10.

We'll notify you again when we have audition dates set. In the mean time, there are some versions on you tube as well as the soundtrack. Hope you will love it as much as we do.

Auditions will be held on May 10 and May 17, both Saturdays, from 10 am to 2 pm at 160 N 300 W in Fillmore, Utah. We have several parts for adults and a few for those of high school age and older. Auditions take only a few minutes and are done first come, first serve. Rehearsals will begin June 7 with performances on Aug 7-11. For more info, keep checking this page or call 253- 0293.
