Louiefest Louiefest was a musical celebration of life for Louie Galarza September 7&8 2024.

Entirely provided by volunteers & marked by notable bands. 8th by a community music jam with a hundred candles & red roses at Jazzbones.

All Ages! Free Show! Plan to join us SUNDAY Sept 8th for fast-paced fun at Jazzbones Tacoma! Louiejam is a jam-style show... jam-packed with over 50 favorite local musicians. (Similar to Gobblefest, if you are familiar with that.) Best of all, we join to celebrate the life of Louie Galarza and the music legacy he built within the local community. Come hang out and rock with us! Fantastic Jazzbones food and drinks. Attendance is free. Sunday Sept 8. 2pm-7pm. Sponsored by Jazzbones, Redact Records, KISW, Agility AVL, JPAL Designs, Weekly Volcano.

This is Day 2 of Louiefest! You'll want to also attend the huge outdoor show the day before.14 bands. Sat. Sept 7 behind Scratch Pizza and Billiards (old Louie G's location) in Fife!

Monetary donations will be accepted for Louie's family at both events (optional).

Louiefest is an official drop-site for NW Harvest. Bring your non-perishable food item to drop in the bin at Day 1 or Day 2.

"[Louie G's] meant the world to me. It was where I could take my children to experience live music that I enjoyed. It was where I first realized that I too, could be a musician. Louie G's last New Year's Eve show was my first big show. I remember taking the stage and feeling this electric wave take hold, for the first time. I couldn't believe I was actually living my dream. The first thing I note is that the stage had cup holders. I've never seen anything like that since ....thank you Louie for building a home for all of us wayward souls!"
