Fernley Bmx Track

Fernley Bmx Track BMX Racing in a friendly, fun filled atmosphere. Fernley BMX is a USA BMX sanctioned track with Racing on Sunday and Practice on Tue. Opening March.

Also known as “The Diamond in the Desert”, Fernley BMX is considered one of Nevada’s premier racetracks. The track starts with a 3-meter concrete hill and rolls into a soiltac slurry covered first straight as you speed into the first of 3 asphalt turns. Walkways are lined with stones and filled with grey shale rock. For great views of the races, stadium seating is available along the track. In addition, there are 10x10 concrete slabs that waterfall down the hill which allow space for canopies, tables, and chairs suitable for families or entire teams. No matter where you sit, you can hear our elite outdoor stereo system blasting hits from today and yesterday’s favorites as the announcer calls out who is crossing the finish line. Come join us in Fernley and be part of this fun filled, family atmosphere that all can enjoy.

*statement from the board president * let me please begin with a heartfelt thank you to the real friends I've made in this sport and district over the last few years. You guys are awesome! That being said , regarding all the "buzz" surrounding our track the last week or so, I will be leaving the board in December but not before, however during this time I will no longer attempt to help with anything operations related . I have had enough of the drama enough of the being screamed at put down threatened and slanderd.i took this position to oversee and help the board ,due to some deficiencies I stepped out of that role to help with operations not because I had to but because I cared about the track and you as our riders. That time is over so with that being said running a track or serving on a board is not easy its alot of hours worked time given money spent even your own . All of which I have done time away from my wife money out of my own pocket parts and whole bikes goven away to help keep our sport thriving and kids able to ride . I did none of this because I had to but purely for the benefit of the sport and riders in our area. I am not the track operator your points your bikes your problems are not my responsibility but I took that on to try and help the riders and program i covered races and practices when our t.o. wasn't there for whatever reason I and my family spent countless hours working on that track alone to try and keep it running for you even when we asked for help and got none ! I know that right now alot of you out there want to blame and villanize me for the short comings of the the track but to be totally honest it wasn't my responsibility to operate it to begin with im a board member not an operator. So to end this rant I will retain my seat until December and help to make sure we get a good and dedicated board in for 2027 and I will be at the track as a spectator or possibly to ride, ill pick up a shovel or rake to help double d maintain grounds . What I won't do is run a race or practice I won't get answers for you regarding points or address complaints or anything else that you may require that falls on the t.o. so please no more messages or texts to my personal accounts no more expectations that I will help with any operational issues my job for the next few months is the board and screening new applicants for a smooth transition in 2027 not daily operations

With everything going around I am creating a post to inform everyone that the Fernley BMX board will be posting the available positions for next season. Along with this information we will also be listing the job duties of each position, and how to apply. No one has been currently selected for any position for next season as of yet. That process will take place at the December board meeting.
