Poor communication. Confusing setup. Little advertising. Artists feeling like an afterthought.

With **Art on 9**, I’m doing things differently. 🎨

I’m documenting the process of building an art fair **by artists, for artists** in downtown Ferndale, MI.

It’s more than just an art fair.

It’s a vision to bring **100 incredible artists** to the streets of Downtown Ferndale and create a weekend where people can discover original art, support artists, eat great food, enjoy music, and experience something truly special.

🎨 Introducing Art on 9.

A brand new juried art fair coming to Downtown Ferndale, Michigan on July 24–25, 2027.

As someone who has spent years exhibiting at art fairs myself, I’ve experienced the excitement of incredible weekends—and I’ve also experienced the frustration that can come when artists don’t feel supported. That perspective has shaped every decision I’m making as I build this event.

My goal isn’t simply to host another art fair.

My goal is to build an event that artists are genuinely excited to be part of, one that visitors look forward to attending every summer, and one that showcases the incredible talent our region has to offer.

This is only the beginning.

Over the next year, I’ll be documenting the entire journey—from planning and behind-the-scenes decisions to artist applications, partnerships, and everything it takes to build a brand-new art fair from the ground up.
